Sainsburys projected turnover

In their Retail Assessment, Sainsbury's say they are expecting a turnover of £26 million a year - that's £3800 for every person in Wadebridge. That assumes a family of 4 will spend £300 per week in Sainsburys alone!

  1. Hopefully you will see from those figures what a central hub Wadebridge is for a large surrounding area. Then there of course is the huge tourist numbers to account for.
Hopefully you will also see the point from this forecast, that being the level of demand for another large supermarket in the area.
Unless you feel that the supermarket is solely there for the use of residents of Wadebridge alone, which is what you seem to be implying. If that's the case then "ah....bless"

  2. It's a very important point Tracey and well put.

Love Wadebridge is becoming so introspective it's really unbelievable, I hope for their sake that prospective tourists are not reading this utter trash as it would surely confirm some of the Cornish stereotypes that exist and put them off visiting spending money in the county.

This type of opinion and view just makes a complete mockery of the ideas that this group has for developing the town. Again I can hardly type this for laughing at the antics of this bunch of local clowns!!

Come on guys I want to hear about Morrisons don't let them get away in this race, or is there some favoritism developing here?

Reading this blog is almost a rival in entertainment stakes for the World Cup!!

    Keep it coming Lovewadebridge....Pleeaasee!!!!
